Facebook Reels URL Resolver

Resolve public Facebook Reels and fb.watch links before choosing an available video format.

Supported services

How it works: paste a public Facebook Reel URL, preview the actual resolver result, then choose an available HD or video format.

The preview and format selector are rendered from the actual /api/resolve response for the pasted URL.

Supported URL patterns

  • facebook.com/reel URLs
  • facebook.com public video URLs
  • fb.watch shared links
  • m.facebook.com public URLs

Short links

  • fb.watch links are accepted and resolved through the Facebook resolver.

Format availability

  • Reels resolve when Facebook exposes downloadable video.
  • HD appears only when a high-quality format is returned.
  • Audio depends on the source video format returned by Facebook.

Common failure reasons

  • Friends-only, group-only, private, or login-required Reel
  • Removed video
  • No downloadable format exposed
  • Temporary platform restriction

What this resolver actually returns

Formats returned by /api/resolve

FormatTypical qualityNotes
MP4 (H.264), HD720p–1080p when exposedHD appears only when Facebook exposes the high-quality rendition for the post
MP4 (H.264), SD360p–540pAlways-available fallback rendition for public videos

How the resolver handles this platform

  • fb.watch share links and m.facebook.com URLs resolve the same as full facebook.com URLs.
  • Reels use the same pipeline as standard Facebook videos.
  • Group-only and friends-only videos are not supported and fail with that reason.

Behavior verified against the production resolver: July 2026.
