Instagram Reels URL Resolver
Resolve public Reels URLs before download and see only the formats the source exposes.
Supported services
How it works: paste a public instagram.com/reel URL, preview the result, then download an available video format.
The preview and format selector are rendered from the actual /api/resolve response for the pasted URL.
Supported URL patterns
- instagram.com/reel URLs
- instagram.com/reels URLs when public
- Standard public Instagram URLs that resolve to video
Short links
- Paste the public Instagram Reel URL; this page does not depend on a separate short-link host.
Format availability
- Reels resolve when Instagram exposes video formats to /api/resolve.
- High-quality labels are shown only when returned by the actual response.
- Audio is included when the source video format includes or exposes it.
Common failure reasons
- Private account
- Removed or restricted Reel
- Login-required response
- No video format exposed
What this resolver actually returns
Formats returned by /api/resolve
| Format | Typical quality | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 (H.264 + AAC) | up to 1080p | Reels and public video posts; quality follows what Instagram exposes for the post |
| MP4 (H.264), Stories | post quality | Only while the story is public and unexpired |
How the resolver handles this platform
- Transient Instagram failures are retried automatically before the page reports an error.
- Login-required and private-account content is not supported and fails with that reason.
- Expired Stories report expiry instead of a generic failure.
Behavior verified against the production resolver: July 2026.
